M.A., Christian Counseling

M.S., Human Resource Development

B.S., Mechanical Engineering

Regina R. Tate is a native of McDonough, Georgia.  She is a 1988 graduate of Tennessee State University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.  As an engineer, she worked for International Paper and BellSouth Telecommunications. In 1997, she received a master’s degree in Human Resource Development from Clemson University. After spending time working in South Carolina, Regina returned to live in McDonough, with her husband Al, in 2000.  In September of 2002, she walked away from a lucrative career as a network engineer.  The Lord seemed to be leading her in another direction.  So, in January of 2003, she embarked upon a journey of a different sort, at Luther Rice Seminary.  In May of 2004, Regina received a Master of Arts degree in Christian Counseling.  Her only child, Braelon, was born in July of that year.  Braelon became the motivation for a number of endeavors, including MaBraTa,LLC., the umbrella company under which she has been a practicing Christian Counselor since 2007.

While navigating life’s journey, all of us will need or have needed help of some kind.  Life can be overwhelming and confusing.  In those moments and at those times, it helps to have someone with whom to share and from whom you can get a nudge or two in a positive direction.  Regina believes that this is what she has been called to do; nudge and prod in a positive manner, to move clients toward God, His Will and His Plan. (In that regard, Regina is also a licensed investment adviser and agent of Primerica, helping people become good stewards of their resources and blessings. For more on that, see the Manage and Grow page.)

During the course of Regina’s journey - through marriage and all of the hurdles and baggage that come along with it, and into it, through her tenure in corporate America and all of its ills, and through her general sojourn through life - she has learned quite a few lessons and gained a good bit of wisdom. It is her belief that the Lord taught her some unique and powerful lessons that could also help you.  She believes she is particularly well-equipped to help those heading toward the altar and those who are laden with issues after they have said “I Do.”  Still, her experiences give her an excellent perspective on life, and everyone can benefit from her counsel.

Regina is a certified provider of Marriage Prepare/Enrich (www.prepare-enrich.com), is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (www.aacc.net), is an author (see Books page), is a licensed investment adviser and agent (see Manage and Grow page), and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
